Ramadan Reflections-

I’m sat here on day 20 of Ramadan, thinking where did this month go? I wait 11 months for this month to come and with a blink of an eye, the month is coming to end. It just brings me sadness.. I feel like we say this every year but Ramadan passes so quickly SubhanAllah. I reflect on the goals I set before this month arrived and it feels bittersweet, I feel like I could have done better. There’s always room for improvement when it comes to bettering yourself, but that’s what I love about Ramadan you get to show yourself that you’re capable of bettering yourself.

It’s crazy to think that we’re nearing the end of this month and it makes me want to pattern myself even more. I’d suggest we all pattern ourselves, engaged in as much Ibadah as we can you don’t know if this will be your last Ramadan. Regardless of how the first part of your Ramadan went, these last days can be the turning point for you.

If like me, you’re feeling disappointed in yourself, feeling like you could have done so much more this month. I just want to remind you that, no matter how the first part of your Ramadan has gone, there is still time to really reap the reward of this beautiful month. Don’t let it bring you down, I understand how disheartening it can be when things don’t go your way. Allāh swt loves those who try to better themselves, so don’t give up.

There’s this Hadith that always reminds me that I need to push myself during these last ten nights. — Aisha said: The Prophet would exert himself in worship during the last ten nights of Ramadan more so than any other time. Take this as your reminder to try your hardest during these last ten nights, pray your salahs, do your dhikr and make your Dua’s — the Dua’s you make during these last nights, could be the ones that are accepted by Allāh.

Laylatul Qadr is upon us, the night of power. That night can change everything for us. Use these last few nights wisely, stand in front of your Lord and pour your heart out to Allāh, He is the only one that can heal you. I’ve learnt that lesson multiple times, the only one who can heal your heart is the one who created it. So pray to Allāh to ease your affairs, grant you peace, forgive all your sins and grant you Jannah.

May we all live to see another Ramadan.

Ameen. 💛
